67. George Alfred WHITE was born on Mar 9 1879 in Olney, Ill.. He died on Nov 26 1975 in Lakeland, Fla.. During the Spanish American War George was a part of Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders and saw action in Cuba.
For many years he was a telephone lineman working in both the states of Illinois and Texas. In 1921 he moved to Flint, Michigan where he farmed and worked for Buick Motor Division for twenty years. He retired from Buick after twenty years in 1931 and moved to Lakeland, Florida the same year.
He spent the last twenty-four years of his life in Lakeland where he died. Burial took place at the Greenlawn Cemetary.

He was married to Bessie Newlan CAPPS on Sep 12 1899 in Peoria, Ill.. Bessie Newlan CAPPS was born on Dec 21 1878 in Lincoln, Ill.. She died in 1945 in Flint, Mich.. George Alfred WHITE and Bessie Newlan CAPPS had the following children:
