THIRD GENERATION

9. John H. WHITE was born on Dec 12 1809. He died on Dec 17 1893. John was listed in the 1860 North Carolina Census as age 52 with wife Elizabeth age 52 and son Joseph age 22, William age 20 and Thomas 15.

He was married to Elizabeth HARTMAN (daughter of Harmon HARTMAN and Catharine (HARTMAN)) on Nov 8 1827. Elizabeth HARTMAN was born on Nov 7 1805. She died on May 20 1893. John H. WHITE and Elizabeth HARTMAN had the following children:

30 iv. Joseph O. WHITE was born about 1839.
+31 v. William H. WHITE.
32 vi. Thomas A.M. WHITE was born on Dec 17 1845. He died on Dec 22 1865. Thomas was an express messenger and was killed when the mail train on the NC RR ran off the track near Concord.
